Package Info

PDF File (Recommended)

A PDF file is a complete set of construction drawings in an electronic format that allows you to print enough copies to build the house or garage once. This file will be emailed to you, usually within one business day, and eliminates all shipping expenses. This is extremely useful when time is of the essence and/or when shipping out of the country. Since this is an electronic transaction, there are no plans to get tied up in customs and be subjected to additional fees. When a PDF file is ordered, the designer will email their license agreement to you first. Once you reply to that email, the designer will email the PDF file.

This plan package grants you the right to build this structure one time. Multiple builds is not permissible and is a violation of copyright laws.

3 Sets (Not Available on All Plans)

Three sets of prints will get you started with the planning process. You will need additional sets at some point for bidding, permits and construction. Additional sets can be ordered within 90 days of your initial purchase. You may want to upgrade to the PDF file, so you can print more copies as needed.

5 Sets

A minimum of five sets of blueprints will be necessary when constructing your home. This may require sub-contractors to share blueprints.

8 Sets

The eight set package offers the least expensive price per set of plans and ensures all appropriate parties involved in construction will be using their own set of house plans. This allows each person to make notes about construction on the blueprints that are relevant to their specific job. When ordering eight or more sets of blueprints, you will keep one set and your local building department, general contractor, mortgage lender and all subcontractors will use the others.

CAD File

CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting) files are a complete set of plans in an electronic file format (a .DWG format) and can be opened in most professional design programs. CAD files can be used if you want to make substantial changes to the plans. You will need to hire a professional to make the changes. CAD files include a copyright release allowing you to make legal changes to the copyrighted plans. Since the CAD files will be emailed to you, the designer will first email a license agreement to you. Once you reply to their agreement, the CAD file will then be emailed to you.

Unlimited Build License

If you are a builder and/or are thinking about building a certain plan multiple times, an Unlimited Build License is what you will need. Purchasing the Unlimited Build License along with a PDF or CAD file grants you the right to build as many times as you like. All other plan packages only allow for one structure to be built.
